Danny Leonard is a first generation American, born in New York City to an Israeli mother and Russian father. This blend of nationalities helped shape an eclectic musical palette from a very young age. Picking up guitar at 18 years old, the instrument was rarely neglected for the next several years. With influences ranging from jazz guitar to heavy metal, Danny strives to create something that very few people are doing in modern songwriting.
With an aim to create compositions interesting enough to listen to sans words, and lyrics that can be recited as poetry; no stone is left unturned in his process.

"DANNY'S MUSIC IS ROOTED IN EMOTION AND PASSION. HE WEARS HIS HEART ON HIS SLEEVE ... SOUL - IN THE BROADEST TERMS - PERMEATES ALL HIS WORK."
Martin Page, co-wrote with Bernie Taupin (Elton John's writing partner) and accomplished musician and songwriter
"As a musician, I have a deep appreciation for musicality. Every time I see Danny Leonard perform he is doing something new and unique. With his percussive guitar style, ability to create engaging musical loops on the fly and the use of the pedals at his feet, he is constantly pushing boundaries. His songwriting is raw and vulnerable and contain not a wasted word, or note. He is one of my favorite guitar playing, singing, songwriters and has broadened and influenced my own approach to music. Come see him do his thing live, in a way that few others can."
Jon Christopher Allen, acclaimed singer-songwriter
